Alumni are students who have gradtuated from a University. Some universities keep their students on the systems for a number of years after providing them with 365 access. Some universities keep the users on their AD just like any other user, however some delete them from their AD and keep them as In Cloud users on 365.

This means they will not be able to log in without being on our systems, so these users are created in our portal, meaning there is no AD object for the customer to edit. Some edits are available in the admin portal, but not all (yet). So we occassionally get asked to make changes to them.

Also, Alumni passwords can only be reset by the customer's admin portal, or using Known Password Reset, or Self-Service Password Reset. As such, if a customer with Alumni has trouble with those features, we may occassionally be asked to set the Alumni's passwords until they are resolved.
