Issue: 

My C drive is filling up very fast when Cloud Drive Mapper is installed


Solution:

If you are using Windows 7 there is a known bug where WebClient will never clear down the temporary files - luckily there is a hotfix for this which you can find here.


Because Cloud Drive Mapper is using WebDAV there is a hidden location on the machine that the Microsoft WebClient (which Cloud Drive Mapper leverages) where the files are temporarily stored whilst the files are being worked on. This path is "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Temp\TfsStore\Tfs_DAV"


Outside of the WebClient issue, you may find this is not clearing down properly if applications are not exited correctly - such as if you have a system crash. If this were to be a repeated problem then it's possible that the cache wouldn't be cleared properly by the Windows WebClient. In this scenario it is recommended to clear the cache manually or using the following code: 


del "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Temp\TfsStore\Tfs_DAV\*.*" /q /f
