Problem Description


The user is in the CS, it is also in MetaDB and visible in the portal as an enabled user. But a FIM Metaverse search it is not able to find the user.




Solution


You need to Project the email address in FIM.




Solution Description


Load up FIM and click on the Joiner tab at the top. Select the Management Agent: MetaDB, and the Disconnector Type: All Disconnector Types.


Click the Search button and let it render the whole list. Order it by mail address. Find the mail address there, then right click it and click Project. Make sure you select the correct Object Type:


  • User = Person
  • Group = Group
  • Contact = Contact


This happens due to a legacy issue and should happen any more moving forward. We have a task pending to backfill and it should stop any future issues.
