Summary

Cloud Drive Mapper delivers the best and most-seamless user experience when SSO is implemented with Office 365. With SSO in place, Cloud Drive Mapper will authenticate with Office 365 automatically at start-up, and automatically map the user's drives without the user even being aware that it is happening.

Cloud Drive Mapper natively supports single sign-on (SSO) from most major single sign-on providers, including:

  • ADFS*
  • Azure AD SSO
  • IAM Cloud
  • Okta
  • OneLogin
  • PingID
  • VMWare Identity Manager
  • Plus a wide range of other SSO platforms that support the industry standard ADAL and FedAuth protocols.

* In most cases, SSO will "just work", however there are a couple of situations with ADFS where some minor config changes may be required to enable full compatibility. See below for more details:

ADFS UPN & Email Mismatch

If your ADFS is using Windows Integrated Auth then Cloud Drive Mapper will identify this and automatically set-up the Single Sign On. However if the email address and UPN are different will you need to add two registry keys.

Enabling SSO for Chrome in ADFS

Cloud Drive Mapper uses the Chromium engine to securely and reliably handle Office 365 cookies and access tokens. Chrome is natively supported by most SSO providers, but with ADFS you may (if you haven't already done it before) need to add Chrome as a supported agent. Here is our guide on how to do it.
